Take a quick second to close your eyes and imagine that you are in a very loud bar having a horrible day. When you get there, let's continue moving forward.
On your left there's an absolutely drunk-to-their-last-cell baseball fan screaming and yelling at the TV while spilling his drink everywhere. He's obnoxious, loud, angry, and completely out of control. To make matters worse, he's taken a liking to you and continues to yell in your ear everything about what's wrong with the game, how much the umpires suck, how much the players suck and everything else that is wrong in the world.
You want to get away from this guy as fast as possible but you can't get rid of him. You're stuck. Good lord.
So you just sit there with your head resting on your arm listening to this guys sob story about how bad life is and how everything is going to fall apart.
The worst part about all of this is that you can't even get a second to yourself to think. You came to that bar to watch the game and relax, not to hear someone ranting about their life.
Even though this is ruining your day, you might as well get comfortable.
So the interesting thing about this whole entire scenario, is that while you were in it, you didn't realize that Morgan Freeman was trying to get your attention all along. He was softly speaking to you in your other ear but you couldn't hear him because of this drunk fan grabbing all of your attention in your left year.
How in the world did you miss Morgan Freeman? Because that loud fan...that's your internal critic.
It's a total jerk. It's the one thing in your life that always knows exactly what to say to bring you down and put you into pieces. But Morgan, he's the voice of your inner wisdom.
That internal wisdom tells you which path to take, how to act, how to get in and out of situations and what to say to deeply touch other peoples hearts. But it's voice is much lower and softer than the drunk fan's and it takes some attention to really hear.
That's, your inner Morgan Freeman.
But if you are constantly paying attention to the negativity that is spewing out of the fan, you will never really get a chance to hear Morgan speak.
There will be no voice of love, passion, drive and enthusiasm. So instead of listening to all of the negativity today, take some time to tune into a much more powerful frequency.
You will certainly not regret it.
Listen to that voice inside.
